Code of Conduct
UA Tech London is a curated, invite-only community. This Code of Conduct sets out the values every member agrees to, how we review who joins, and what happens when someone doesn’t keep to it.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
This Code applies to every member of UA Tech London, and to guests at our events, in every space we run — our group chats, our wiki, our meetups, dinners, talks and trips, and any channel where the community gathers. Joining the community, or attending an event, means agreeing to it.
These aren’t decorative. Every member agrees to them, and every referral is reviewed against them.
Time together is better when we share at least three things to talk about — and tech gives us thirty. Non-tech friends are welcome as guests at events.
Before anyone joins, we check they’ve had no affiliation with Russia in the last five years and no involvement in dubious or illegal activity. This is non-negotiable.
We’re not chasing 1,000+ members. We’re building a warm, considered group of people who actually want to spend time with each other.
No ageism, no sexism, no toxic communication, no discrimination of any kind. Disagreement is welcome — argued well, with respect.
Members share events, opportunities and recommendations. The chat isn’t a platform for political dispute or self-promotion.
Membership is by trusted introduction, not public application. You join when an existing member refers you; the founding team then reviews the referral. As part of that review we confirm:
We may decline or revoke membership at our discretion where these standards aren’t met.
If something or someone makes you uncomfortable, or you see a breach of this Code, tell a founder. You can reach uliana@uatech.london or margo@uatech.london in confidence. We take every report seriously and will handle it discreetly.
People who don’t follow this Code are removed — quickly, and without a fuss. Depending on the situation that may mean a private word, a formal warning, removal from an event, or removal from the community altogether. Decisions rest with the founding team, with the Advisory Board where appropriate.
We may update this Code as the community grows. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
